Megan Mackey, MPT, DPT, is a Board Certified Physical Therapist. She attended the University of Delaware where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and was a Division 1 collegiate swimmer for the Blue Hens. She received her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland School of Medicine Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science (UMPTRS).
Following graduation from UMPTRS, she worked in sports medicine practices specializing in the rehabilitation of injured athletes in Baltimore, MD and Cleveland, OH. The Cleveland practice was affiliated with the highly regarded Case Western University Hospital Orthopedics. In 2007, she returned to UMPTRS as an associate faculty member. Since then, Megan has enjoyed teaching Basic Tests and Measures courses to future UMPTRS clinicians.
Megan’s professional experiences have given her a strong and well-rounded background in sports medicine. In addition, she has studied The McKenzie Method approach to spine treatment and has certifications in both SFMA -Levels 1 and 2 as well as IASTM. In her free time she enjoys swimming, triathlons, skiing, vacations and cheering on her children in their various endeavors.
